Samsung is Closing Down My Bixby Level Service on August 10
Samsung introduced little late, nearly a year ago, its own virtual assistant, Bixby, because by that time Apple, Google, Amazon, and Microsoft had already invested heavily in developing an intelligent assistant that are still a part of their smart devices. Samsung still took it up as a challenge and created Bixby and integrated into all its products.
To pace with the competition, Samsung tried to inculcate some amazing and exclusive features that were not available elsewhere in any other assistants. It also initiated to offer an incentive to the customers to use Bixby through the My Bixby Level service. But considering the fall out that this virtual assistant has been facing all these phases, the company has now decided to close down the incentive program and all similar services on August 10, 2018.
No More Samsung Reward Points on Using Bixby
This program of “My Bixby Level” was just applied for changing the multiple color assistant backgrounds and Samsung used to offer rewards upon asking questions, doing tasks, unlocking levels, etc. Through these activities of Bixby usage, Samsung was expecting to collect more data to improve its assistant to compete with the rivals. Now even before Bixby could actually garner some meaningful and substantial data and make some improvements, the company has decided to terminate the incentives.
The different color backgrounds for Bixby is such a feature that might not get affected by terminating the incentive program. For those end users of Samsung device who wanted to earn Samsung Pay rewards points through Bixby will no more be able to create a pool of reward points and the related benefits.
